Arts Internal Transfer Preparation Form (PDF) Page 1 of 2 ARTS UNDERGRADUATE OFFICE PAS 2439 | 519 888 4567 ext. 35870 I’M THINKING ABOUT TRANSFERRING TO ARTS… WHAT DO I DO??? STEP #1 STOP!!! If you haven’t done so (and most students thinking about transferring to Arts have not done this!), sit down and seriously ask yourself: “Why is it that I am thinking about transferring to Arts?” Some potential answers to this question might be… “I took PSYCH 101 as an elective and discovered that I’m fascinated with the discipline and want to pursue Psychology as a major in Arts.” A great reason to apply for a transfer! “I’ve been required to withdraw from my current faculty/program and have discovered that Arts is the only faculty that might admit me, so I guess I’ll try to switch to Arts.” A terrible reason to apply for a transfer! You need to take the time to really make sure that applying to transfer to Arts is the best option for you. Perhaps you want to stay in your current program and just haven’t asked your current advisor if that is an option (in this instance, start that conversation with your current advisor!). Perhaps you’re really not sure what an Arts degree is all about.
