Christine Potts Intro to Business Management 1/19/08 I decided to look further into exactly what Gross Domestic Product was. I used the search engines google.com and yahoo.com, but found that google.com had more reliable and more search related answers than the other one. So the majority of the information I got from the web was from Google. In my research I found that GDP, as it is abbreviated, is measurement that describes the size of the economy in a nation. In order to get this calculation, you take the total market value of all final goods and services produced within a country in a given period of time, and divide it by the average population for that year. While researching this topic, I found that there is a correlation between the Gross Domestic Product and the standard of living. So as well as researching information on GDP, my interest also became that of the nation’s standards for living. As the GDP goes up, the whole nation has to pay more and receives
