ASB100Assignment #2: Revised $100M Plan1. Provide an overall summary of your original proposal. What global health issues did you value, and how did you plan to address them? (1 paragraph) The global health issues that were in my original proposal still stand today; the maincause of death, in children, from one month to five years in age. These diseases, with the exception of one, are treatable and/or preventable. I planned on addressing these issues by implicating several logistical aspects; a budget, vendor contracts pertaining to medical necessities with an attempt to purchase these items at cost, obtain location security to provide treatment and house supplies. Once staff have been established, the mission wouldbe to vaccinate for any of the following priorities: immunization for Measles and treatment of children who have Measles; treatment for Helminthiasis; immunization for Pneumonia and treatment of children who have Pneumonia; treatment for Diarrhoeal disease; and providing treatment to HIV-confirmed pregnant women to prevent transmission to child during birth. As previously noted, this is in an attempt to decrease mortality rates of all children between the ages of one month and five years, which will provide them a better chance of surviving, and potentially increase their life expectancy from the age of 50 to an age that is significantly higher.2. Considering what you have learned throughout this course, what were the strengths and weaknesses of your original proposal? (2 paragraphs)
