CS1372 Fall 2006 HW 01 – Introduction to C and Visual Studio Welcome to CS 1372!!! The aim of this introductory assignment is for you to familiarize yourself with the language C and the Visual Studio package. It is not supposed to be challenging in terms of the actual programming, but prior experience with programming (i.e. Matlab) is assumed. A basic Visual Studio Solution is accessible to you on the class web site as a zip file. Use this for the environment for solving the following problems. The Assignment The assignment is for you to program one C program that does the following: 1. Print out your name and GT account (email account) 2. Calculate the vertical distance traveled by a ball dropped at rest for a given time 3. Calculate the velocity of the ball at that instant 4. Prompt for a course code and print it out The program must: Use one file only – name it basic.cpp Compile (very important – you get 0 if it doesn’t compile) Have a “main” function and have
