Tang, Linh25046760On March 16th, I attended the 63rd Annual Noon Concert Series at Hertz Hall, held by the class of Music 149. I found information on the performance by searching online for any local concerts taking place within the month, for the sake of this essay assignment, and found the event on the department of music calendar. The concert took place in the auditorium where lectures of Music 26AC occur, a fine place for a musical performance. At the beginning of the performance, the director stated that the purpose of the concert was, not only to serve as a midterm, but also to give the students the opportunity to experience playing music without a conductor.The hour-long performance I attended was a classical music concert, particularly with a fairly small ensemble made of the student of Music 149, who, as the director of theperformance happily informed the audience, had recently learned to play baroque instruments dating back to the 18th century. kinds of instruments involved in the performance included baroque recorders, violins, violas, cellos, and an organ.
