Harpaz decided to write about Clinton’s slip-up in the lead of her article even after Howard Wolfson, Hillary’s political consultant called Beth and said “This shouldn’t be the lead of your story.” (pg. 46) Why did she make that choice? What do you think of her choice? Why? I feel that Beth harpaz made the choice to run an article on Hillary’s slip-up because that is what she was there to do, to cover new news and new information. Harpaz tells us that she had already reported that Clinton stood for gun control and that at the time everybody knew that.
