BUAD 304 2. Employers put a lot of emphasis on the interview because in interviews the employer can assess how you act in social environments. He can see your body language and how it corresponds with your tone. He can asses what your saying and whether it is relevant or not. He can also see if you are scared or if you are confident. Interviews are the best way to figure out what a person is like because you get to feel out the person. Employers can also evaluate the employee’s critical incidents, which are the behaviors that are key in making the difference between executing a job effectively and ineffectively. This also separates the resume from the person. This means that if the person has a stellar resume, but in the interview you figure out that this person is introverted, and your company is team based, you drop him. It allows you to make more accurate decisions based on an employee’s speech, poise and social skills. 4.
