Unformatted text preview: The Clever Cow Once upon a time, there was a cow who lived in a valley west of Moscow. And she was so old, grey and weak, that she could hardly hear or see or speak. But despite being old, to go to school was her goal. So she laced up her boots, And went to school in a suit. But the teacher shrieked, “Go home you freak!” To which the cow replied, “Who are you to decide?” In a shirt white as snow, she took up the first row The boys threw chalk from all sides, and we laughed till we cried. People became curious to see, this cow try to study. So they came on planes, bikes, cars and trains. But as news traveled, The school’s studies unraveled. So the cow in the corner, became the school’s only learner. Until one day, each other kid, turned into a cockroach, scurried and hid. And in this town just west of Moscow, the only one the wiser was the cow....
