Lori MelickTop 10 Best Marketing PracticesThe top 10 best marketing practices I have learned throughout the semester are as follows andnot in any specific order of importance:1) Marketing Segmentation. I realized that there are many different people out there with avariety of wants helped me group people into categories and groups based on their commonneeds. Market segments are the homogenous groups of buyers that result from the marketsegmentation process. (Kerin pg 220)Using marketing segmentation reduces the risk indeciding where, when how and to whom a product, service or brand will market to. Also itincreases efficiency by directing marketing efforts directly to the proper segments. (Boundless2015) I would use this to target the exact consumer I would need to reach out to so mymarketing efforts aren’t wasted.2) Channel Choice and Management. While my company is not at the point where I am sellingmy product in a retail environment, this helped me know what route to take when I do get to thatpoint. This section of the semester was interesting for those of us who are starting out and needto know what is the best mode to get your product sold and in the face of consumers. QuestionsI would ask myself are: Do I use intensive distribution? Exclusive distribution? Or Selective
