After reading and analyzing both President Barack Obama’s “Welcoming Remarks” speech and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s “Four Freedoms” speech you can easily see that the idea of "freedom from fear" has not changed over time. Youcan see that even though we may not be in obvious danger that fear still very much remains inside of us and we look to our leaders to try and help restore our hope because that is all we can doIn FDR’s speech, he is addressing a people who stand with the dread of the war looming before them; a people who have only just recovered from the perils and hardships of the depression. In the depression these people saw everybody affected by the economy, not just the poor people but poor and rich alike.
