Slater/Sullivan Is it a question of beauty? Procedures such as plastic surgery and hormone injections are both very popular. The two are ways of altering the body. They are commonly discussed and sometimes defended by those who try to justify one more than the other. Lauren Slater in "Dr Daedalus" and Andrew Sullivan in "The He Hormone" discuss these two altering methods and some examples of the controversy surrounding them. The most common being whether the two are even necessary since so many take advantage of this advanced technology. Many people, because they are allowed to, would like to transform themselves to look a different way and use plastic surgery and/ or hormone injections to do so. However, that can not be an argument to disclaim the two because those are not the only uses of these methods. Like most things you have your good and your bad, and this is one of those cases, but does that mean we should dismiss it because some see the bad as outweighing the good? That is not at all a reason to do such. Therefore
