Comm) Chs. 2, & 3, and Hacker (Pocket Style Manual) sections 1 – 8b Monday 1/14/08 • Familiarize yourself with our Blackboard (BB) course shell, the course syllabus, detailed course calendar and Additional Course Info. for Online Students – all are located in the Course Information file on BB. • Create “homepage” (see “Other Assignments” – BB) • Review textbooks and course syllabus and take the Syllabus Quiz (go to “Quizzes” link in BB) • Syllabus Quiz opens at 6:00 a.m. – must be completed before 9:00 p.m. on Friday Wednesday 1/16/08 • Complete and post Personal Introduction /Homepage before 6:00 a.m. Thursday • Review homepages – choose potential teammates and send list of 4 or 5 names to me via email (through BB Communications link – email Instructor) before 9:00 p.m. on 1/18/08 (Friday). I will create group spaces by Monday afternoon. • Review Presentations assignment (see Other Assignments on BB) and sign up for one presentation team. To sign up for a presentation, go to the Class Discussion Board (click on “Discussion Board” from our BlackBoard homepage), the click on Presentations. Click on the topic of your choice and then click on the “reply” button. In the message box, simply express your interest in working on that topic. Each team will be limited to no more than 4 students. If a topic is full, you will need to choose a different one. Choose your Presentation topic before 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
