Nguyen 1 Tan Huy Hoang Nguyen Professor Mellen Political Science 101 25 March 2008 Dinesh D’Souza Dinesh D’Souza is a magnificent and well-rounded speaker. Like many great scholars, he discusses the topic with opposing viewpoints from his own. He starts with his past by presenting the problems, stating the facts, and expressing his opinion on resolutions to the issue of racism. Yet, for some reason a select few tend to steer clear of his statements, regardless of the clear facts and explanations and go right into criticizing his conservative viewpoints with their liberal perspective; shaking their heads, disregarding what is said, and not objectively listening to his reasoning. Not only that, the whole speech was about moving to a merit system and resolving what are known to be the culprits of keeping our citizens behind society’s standards. Nevertheless, the liberals disregard his point of the speech and refute regressive issues that no longer apply in today’s western world. Mr. D’Souza is an immigrant himself from India and knows full well what racism
