Imran Farooqui BA 243 6/23/08 Assignment #6 Contract assignment and delegation are two important features when dealing with contracts as a whole. Both of these types of contracts deal with performance within the contract. Also these types of contracts deal with the third parties that are mentioned. We must pay attention to the fulfillment of the clause as it can create problems later on down the road. First, we’ll define both types of contracts Contract delegation, by definition, is a term used in the law of contracts to describe the act of giving another person the responsibility of carrying out the performance agreed to in a contract. In other words, delegation is where there is a transfer of obligations of a contract. There are three parties that are concerned with this act: the delegator (the party who incurred the obligation to perform under the contract), the delegatee (the party who assumes the responsibility of performing the duty), and the obligee (the party to whom this performance is owed).
