Schools Methods to Prevent Cyberbullying in Classrooms Heather Hampsey
Cyberbullying has been increasingly becoming a problem in schools since 2004. Electronic devices have made it easier for students to bully other students without having to face them in person. Electronic bullying is becoming more serious and school administrators are taking different measures to ensure that everyone – students, parents, teachers and staff feel comfortable, confident and aware about what cyberbullying is and what needs to be done about it. School administrators are now starting to take notice to how serious cyberbullying is regardless if it happens mainly at home. Working together will be the main focus point of how to resolve this issue. It is easy to regulate the internet in school with the students, but once the student is home, it is up to the parents to make sure all children are ABSTRACT
Purpose of Study Understanding how much power Academic Professionals’ such as; Teachers and School administrators have when it comes to their students and Cyberbullying
Research Questions 1) What are schools doing to help prevent bullying and cyber bullying amongst their students? 2) What actions are schools developing to discipline cyber bullying in their schools? 3) What are schools doing to help spread awareness about the consequences of bullying?
