Descriptive statistics: they describe the raw data w/ a single number Measures of central tendency: numbers that represent the average or typical score obtained from measurements of a sample Mdn: abbreviated form of Median Median: a score value in the distribution w/ an equal number of scores above and below it. The median is the 50 th percentile in a distribution. Mode: the most freq occurring scores in a distribution of scores. Multimodal distribution: a distribution w/ more than two modes. Unimodal distribution: a distribution w/ one mode.
