It is a statement of the main terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the Employment Rights Act 1996. 1) Commencement of Apprenticeship & Periods of Continuous Employment 1. Your period of continuous employment with the Company will begin/began on [date]. 2) Job Role and Place of Work 1. You are employed on the basis of an Apprenticeship which is in the nature of a fixed- term arrangement. You are employed as an Apprentice (insert description) for a period of (insert length of time) years from the date the apprenticeship began on (insert start date). 2. You will undergo continuous training in the trade of (insert description) at (insert Training Venue). 3. You undertake to work to the best of your ability and to use your best endeavours to promote, develop and extend the company’s business and interests. 4. It is a condition of your Apprenticeship Agreement, and your continued employment with the Company, that you diligently attend the training course arranged for you and that you achieve all of the required standards for examinations or study performance as specified in the training agreement to attain the qualification or qualifications as required. 5. In the event of you being unable to attend your training course, for whatever reason, you must notify the Company immediately. In the event of you consistently failing to attend the course, or to progress to a satisfactory standard through the course, then the Company will review the situation carefully with your Training Provider. Continued failure to attend or to make satisfactory progress may lead to the Apprenticeship Agreement being nullified, and your employment terminated. 6. During the period of the Apprenticeship, the Company undertakes to instruct, train or place you under the supervision of a fully qualified and/or experienced (insert description) to allow you to learn the trade and to acquire the necessary skills and techniques. The Company will monitor your progress on a regular basis throughout the period of the Apprenticeship, and do all it can to support you.
