Lambert1 Graeme Lambert TA Stacie Stuut Chem 403 Lab 3 November, 2016 Individual Report 9. The experimental moles was significantly higher than the theoretical yield. The experimental yield was the moles of gas calculated from the pressure, volume, and temperature. The theoretical yield was calculated from the grams used and stoichiometry from the reaction equation. By comparison though the calculated experimental moles was much larger than the theoretical. This means that there was either some underlying variable we had missed, there was an error in our procedure, or our reaction was extremely efficient. 10. The experimental molar volume is the molar volume calculated from the data collected from the gas produced. The standard molar volume is the molar volume calculated from the gas at STP. The average experimental molar volume for the class is about ten times greater than the average standard molar volume for the class. The reason that the standard molar volume is different than the experimental molar volume is because the standard molar volume is calculated
