If an electron in passing through a certain region of space is not deflected, can we be sure that there is no magnetic field in that region. Further, if it is deflected, can we be sure that a magnetic fields does exist in the region of space. 2. In electronic systems, wires that carry equal but opposite currents are often twisted together to reduce their magnetic effect at distance points. Explain why this is effective. 3. You have two capacitors C 1 and C 2 with C 1 = k C 2 and k > 1. You are to connect the capacitors to a battery, first individually, then in series, then in parallel. Rank the arrangements according to the amount of charge stored – from most to least. 4.
