PKG 101 - Virtual University Homework 3 25 points You may submit either Choice 1 or Choice 2, not both. Both choices are worth 25 points. Choice 1 Objective: Compare packaging from the "turn of the century” to current practices Method: Visit the "Country Store" display in the MSU Museum and a grocery store of your choice to gather information needed to answer the questions. Gather information by looking through the windows. Take pictures, sketches, and notes as you wish. Do NOT ask to "get into" the museum display to look more closely. I will NOT ask the museum people to open the display. I will ask them to turn up the lights, but I don’t know if that is possible. The explanation for this policy is simple. When this course is taught in a regular classroom, we commonly give a day off from class for this assignment and the Museum opens the exhibit for that day and provides a docent to answer questions. However, in the ON-line format, there may be students looking at the exhibit for several weeks. It is unreasonable to ask the Museum management to allow unfettered access during this whole period.
