Congress has just enacted legislation to create Washyouia Peaks National Park, which is nestled in the high mountains of Wyoming astride the Atlantic-Pacific continental divide. Among other things, Washyouia Peaks NP is known for its spectacular geology. In fact, it is this amazing geology that convinced congress to create this park in the first place! It has the greatest geology, the best, wonderful, awesome nothing better. Because of your extensive geologic training, you have been asked by the National Park Service to produce a brochure for distribution at their new visitor center that explains the geology of the park. To start this exercise, you have drawn a block diagram/cross section of the rock exposures in Washyouia Peaks NP, which is shown on the next page.
