Unformatted text preview: FINAL ESSAY PROPOSAL The essay will focus on the Jewish Arab relations within Israel. It is widely known that two social groups are segregated and prefer not to interact with one another on a regular basis. In my essay I shall look at these relations through intermarriage between the two communities. In general, intermarriages between different cultural groups are difficult and are subject to controversy. Nevertheless, countries in which percentage of interracial/international marriages is higher signifies the level of tolerance of different social groups based on ethnical heritage towards one another. For a society as deeply divided as that of Israel, it is curious to trace the obstacles that the people who are engaged into an interracial marriage have to face. Throughout the essay I shall examine the attitudes towards interracial marriages in Israel over the course of years and make conclusions whether there persist apparent changes that indicate an overall shift in the two groups, namely the Jews and the Palestinians, attitudes...
