Unformatted text preview: Eight...nine...ten my nerves were building. Eleven... twelve... thirteen... my nervous system was going to explode. Fourteen... I was finally here. I rang the buzzer to the aged apartment building. I think to myself, I am finally in Spain. Exposing myself to new things helped make my stay in Spain rewarding. Growing up in small town Georgia sheltered me in many ways. The people are the same, the foods are the same, and the encounters are the same. In Georgia, there are no opportunities to challenge me. Spain made me immerse myself in a new cultural lifestyle. I would have never gotten to try paella or to see a bull fight in Georgia. Honestly, I did not like all of the encounters; however, I was glad that Spain whetted my appetite to experience new things. Nothing ever goes perfectly on a trip; fortunately, my whetted my appetite to experience new things....
