Problem-solving modelThe best way to solve this scenario is to create a “win-win” situation. “The win- win situation creates an environment that promotes equality and sharing” (University of Phoenix, 2017,p. 293). Applying this problem-solving model would mean hiring an extra set of hands to share. Hiring someone else would spread the work out in the department and allow dental students to receive the proper education. To make sure that this transition is smooth, the Dean would need to exemplify great leadership qualities. These qualities start with listening and staying focused on the goals ahead, having confidence in the process and prepared to make changes should there come hiccups along the way, being transparent about his expectations and goals for the process, always have an open mind, and always be positive and persistent. Promote ChangeTo prevent this from happening again the leaders of the school or programs directors should be more proactive and make sure that they have the staff to cover new curriculum. If not
