CHEVRON VERSUS ECHAZABAL 2 Disability and Job Opportunity Echazabal was a worker at Chevron Oil Refinery Company in U.S.A. Echazabal has a liver condition which his doctors warned him and the company about his continued exposure to toxins could add more problems to his health. Chevron management decided to request Echazabal to resign from the company because of health risks associated with toxins produced by the refinery or remove him from the enterprise. Consequently, Echazabal filed a suit claiming that the refinery is violating Americans Disability Act of 1990 (ADA). The ADA act declares that any person should be given an employment opportunity regardless of his/her disabilities as long as job qualifications are meet (Petrila, 2002). However, Chevron is also protected by Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
