Attitudes and consistency -make a statement/attitude and stand by it with few exceptions -people seek consistency 1) among their attitudes 2) between their attitudes and behaviors -if an inconsistency arises, individuals will: 1) alter their attitudes OR 2) alter behavior OR 3) develop a rationalization for the inconsistency Big Five Model -pre-scriptive -tests on extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, openness to experience -need to test high on these this test is very predictive on success ** predictive of success in the workplace take these things and use as diagnostic tools
