You should use the study guides already provided for the first three in- class exams, The exam will cover both Old and New World societies. With respect to Old World Societies the exam will focus more on socially ranked societies (Ubaid, Uruk and ED Early Dynastic periods for Mesopotamia and Late Predyastic, Early Dynastic and Old Kingdom Egypt than on the Neolithic periods . It is important to remember that this information is provided to help you get an idea of the kinds of concepts and details I think are important. It’s meant as a useful but not comprehensive reminder of some of the key concepts and terms we’ve talked or read about.
