In general, building up healthy family relationship is challenging for every family. However, second marriage can be more challenging for both partners due to involvement of both partners’ children if any such as stepson or stepdaughter into new family structure. Prior to second marriage, each partner and his/her children may be used too different roles and responsibilities, values, rules, and behaviors which can create many imbalances and families’ issues adjusting into new family. Therefore, to maintain and function new family as one, both partner need to arrange some private time often to formulate a planning that would address and establish new rules, roles, and responsibility.Blended family need to talk and determine about what role and responsibilities should be taken by each family members.
