Brett Dagel HCM641-1604A-01 Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making in Healthcare Instructor: Dr. Bridget Wilson Unit 3 DB There are a couple of aspects of this question that should be discussed in order to understand it properly. The first aspect is the baby boomer generation. Author Paul Barr (2014) helps explain a little more about these people. He says that the baby boomers are defined as anyone that was born from 1946 through 1964 (Barr, 2014). There are many aspects of this generation that drive current health care costs, and they will continue to do so throughout the next couple of decades (Barr, 2014). The first group of this generation reached retirement age in 2011, and the last group will retire in 2029 if retirement age stays the same (Barr, 2014). There are approximately 75 million Americans who make up this generation of people (Barr, 2014). During 2011, 41 million baby boomers reached retirement age, and that is estimated to increase to 71 million by 2029 (Barr, 2014). This is a 73 percent increase over that time frame (Barr, 2014).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
