Light Intensities and their affect on photosynthesis and oxygen production Grade=B writeup Abstract : The objectives of this research are to find out just how light intensity affects plants in their process of photosynthesis. The design used in this experiment was creating a control and two different ways to test the variable of light intensity which where to put

one petri dish in a drawer and another in front of a very bright light bulb. The conclusion is that the higher the light intensity the faster the plant was able to create oxygen. Introduction : The purpose of this experiment was to investigate how much light intensity affects the rate of photosynthesis. Since “Photosynthesis is a highly integrated and regulated process which is highly sensitive to any change in environmental conditions”(Ingo) it can be inferred that no matter the conditions the rate of photosynthesis is always faster under the highest intensity of light. Another thing was that when it comes to photosynthesis “Light intensity was found to be the most important factor” (Park). The objectives of this study are to prove that light intensity is an important factor in the production of oxygen. We predict the stronger the light intensity the faster the spinach discs will become oxygenated and float. Materials and Methods
