There may have been other slides that I have missed, but these are the most important ones that immediately came to my mind. Invertebrates I Lab - Hydra cross section. Page 142 in lab manual. Be able to identify the following. o Cnidocytes with nematocysts (you probably could not see these but know that they are there) o Gastrovascular cavity , lined by gastrodermal cells o I had a hard time visually telling the difference between testis and ovary , but know that the testis is usually on the upper part of the body (where the mouth is), and the ovary is usually on the lower part of the body. - Dugesia cross section. Page 145 in lab manual. There were three slides: (1) through the pharynx, (2) anterior to the pharynx, and (3) posterior to the pharynx. Be able to identify the following.
