Prerequisites: None Course Goals: This course will provide a foundation for understanding the visual arts and introduce the styles of specific historical periods. The characteristics of each historical period will be thoughtfully explored and analyzed. Student Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students should be able to recognize, identify, analyze and discuss intelligently many visual works of art from the Paleolithic through the Gothic periods.
