They solely used the “in-house” systems, entailing a practice of appointing person and creating systems that in the recording and documentation as well as storage of health records. However, the outsourcing of electronic health records was preferred and later adopted for reasons in a bid to implement the various pieces of legislation.According to Bearden (2007), “Outsourcing is the process whereby firms purchase products and services from other companies than to make the products or perform the services internally.” The adoption of electronic health record is closely related to the management of health institutions in that they work closely, hand in hand to ensure the proper record and documentation of the cases.
