Rob Rhodes Z102980 SOCI 381 Assignment 2 My theory will attempt to solve the problem of males committing violent crimes. According to crime rate statistics, males are more likely to commit violent crimes. I plan to explain why males are more likely to commit crime. I theorize that the reason that crime is perpetuated by males because of their levels of testosterone. According to WebMd, testosterone is linked to higher male aggression. And, it would seem that higher levels of aggression would lead to higher instances of violent crime. I also believe that higher levels of testosterone cause higher crime rates. This could be tested by taking a sample of individuals at a specific time and test their average levels of testosterone over a period of one week. Once a mean testosterone level is measured, we would follow these individuals over the course of the next few years. I believe that the findings would suggest that those males with higher mean levels of testosterone would have a greater predisposition to crime. Problems with type of experiment come from
