Objective: The goal of this lab was to become well-known with the tools available for calculating the mass of an object and to determine when each type of tool is appropriate to utilize. Materials Used: 1. Safety goggles 2. Triple beam balance 3. Digital electronic balance 4. Mass samples 5. Small beaker Procedures: Initially, check the measuring balances at hand and determine the level of precision allowed by the balance. Set up the triple beam balance and calculate the mass of the small beaker; record the value. Next, place Mass Sample A into the beaker and determine their combined mass. Once completed, record the observed value. Determine the mass of Sample A by subtracting the initial mass from the final mass, and record the results. Repeat the previous process to gather the mass of Samples B and C.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
