Sophie’s Choice has been placed in slot ninety-one of the American Film Institute's list of the top one hundred movies of all time. The movie has won thirteen awards and eleven nominations, this is easily due to the outstanding performances from all the actors, as well as a deeply beguiling story that will require several days for one to recover. The film has undeniably earned its place among the top one hundred greatest movies of all time. Meryl Streep’s performance, which established the earning of her first Best Actress Academy Award and ingrained her as one of the most formidable talents of her generation.
