FOOD GUIDE PYRAMID The food guide pyramid is a picture type guide designed to help individuals plan diets to meet the nutrient recommendations for health promotions and disease prevention. The pyramid’s shape and the size of each section indicates the relative contribution of each food group.

FOOD GUIDE PYRAMID The broad base at the bottom indicates that the food group should form the foundation of a healthy diet and must be eaten abundantly compared to other food groups. NUTRITIONAL GUIDELINES FOR FILIPINOS (NGF) NGF refers to a set of recommendations that aims to promote good health through proper food intake. Instructions are given in short, simple statements that give advice on the consumption of foods and food components which there are public concerns. Its goal is the improvement of nutritional status and adoption of desirable lifestyle practices.
