Procedure: We hung the spring with the narrow end up. We put weights on the bottom end of the spring and measured the displacement of the spring. Afterwards, for each weight that were attached, we set the spring in oscillating motion and measured the time it takes for 30 oscillation. From this we were able to calculate the period. Data: Mass of Spring in kg: 0.1623 kg The Elongation of the Spring Mass including weight holder (kg) D (m) distance to the floor X (m) amount of elongation Weight (N) 0 kg 0.174 m 0 m 0 N 0.1 kg 0.163 m 0.012 m 0.98 N 0.2 kg 0.150 m 0.0244 m 1.96 N 0.3 kg 0.138 m 0.0364 m 2.94 N 0.4 kg 0.126 m 0.0490 m 3.92 N 0.5 kg 0.113 m 0.0615 m 4.90 N 1.0 kg 0.510 m 0.1235 m 9.80 N Oscillation and Period Total Time (s) Period (s) Period Squared (s 2 ) 15.75 sec 0.525 sec 0.276 s 2 24.87 sec 0.829 sec 0.687 s 2 32.22 sec 1.074 sec 1.153 s 2 38.13 sec 1.271 sec 1.615 s 2 45.00 sec 1.500 sec 2.250 s 2 49.62 sec 1.654 sec 2.736 s 2 67.84 sec 2.261 sec 5.114 s 2 Calculations: 1.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
