Calculate the volume of CO 2 formed at a pressure of 2.50 atm and a temperature of 125 C. 2. Estimate the molar volume of CO 2 at 500 K and 100 atm by treating it as a van der Waals gas. 3. Assume that a nitrogen molecule acts as a hard sphere with radius 1.60 ˚ A. If you have a vacuum chamber that is 1.00 m on a side, to what pressure would it have to be pumped down in order that a nitrogen molecule has a reasonable chance of not colliding with another nitrogen molecule going from one side to the other (that is, the mean free path is 1.00 m)? Assume a temperature of 22.0
