office of admissions and relations with schools Required Documents from Schools Outside the United States If any of your high school or college education occurred outside the United States, the following list provides country-specific information about the required records admitted students must submit to UC San Diego. These include transcripts and International Baccalaureate certification, among others. Note that this information may be in addition to the items listed on your checklist on the MyApplication status site. Your admission to UC San Diego is provisional pending the receipt and review of your official transcripts, records and exam results. You must successfully complete and pass all classes, subjects and exams in your final year of secondary studies and earn the diploma, certificate or benchmark exams appropriate to your educational system. The deadlines for UC San Diego to receive your documents are July 1 and test scores (AP) by July 15 . Please see How to Send Transcripts and Certificates for our mailing address and how to address the envelope at the end of this document . COMBINED U.S. and INTERNATIONAL RECORDS Authentic original records (transcripts) from your overseas school (or schools) must be sent directly to UC San Diego from your former institution. All transcripts – beginning from grade 9 – must be submitted even if your current school has recorded them on your transcript. This includes middle school records and any grades you may have repeated upon commencing your studies in the United States. INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB) Full transcripts indicating your internal marks from your secondary school (including grades 9–12) must be submitted by the July 1 deadline or before. All grade 12 classes must be passed with a C result (or equivalent) or better, with an overall 3.0 grade point average, or equivalent. IB certificates or diplomas must be requested from IBO directly. UC San Diego will receive these electronically; these documents may not be available by the deadline . Please request that internal marks and intermediate results/certificates from your school or appropriate authority are sent to UC San Diego so they are received by July 1 . Please have your school authority provide predicted results if possible along with an explanation of when your final marks and certificate will be available.
