1.12 First Draft (The Pomegranate Seeds)Several ages ago, before the fate of doom there was to await, there was a time when a beautiful, attractive girl by the name of Proserpina lived a good life. A life of which consisted of no worries, no responsibilities, and a love that was destined to last forever. Then, many things fall out of play. Things do not go well, as Proserpina endures and suffers a huge struggle with herself and her life, which leaves her asking, “WHY?!?!?”. And then Proserpina’s life then becomes a great learning experience. A learning experience to recover and move forward; a learning experience to push on. A learning experience to keep her emotions from getting the best of her. But as it must be, her life was determined for tragedy.Innocent, kind, playful, and gentle. These things all describe who Proserpina naturally was. Always obedient to her mother; out of her seven siblings, Proserpina was by all means, easily the favorite child in the family. Although she didn’t have many friends she did manage to stay out of trouble anytime she would run into it. If adversity ever struck upon her, she was able to, as gentle as she is, keep herself from losing her cool and becoming anxious. Now where Proserpina lived, is an area surrounded by a great king holding a great deal of a kingdom. In the kingdom, the population consisted of 100 adults, men and women combined, and 25 children, girls and boys combined as well. As written in decree by the King’s law, all children under eighteen must have an education. Well there was only one place to do it, which was in the school located right in the center of the town. Proserpina would go every day, Monday through Friday toreceive her education; and although she knew from what her parents told her to stay away from boys, she began to notice one particular boy in her class by the name Aaron. After becoming
convinced with a few friends, despite being nervous, she finally approached Aaron and sparked up talk. Soon after that, it was very clear that Aaron and Proserpina were to become great friends,as their conversation led all throughout the rest of their learning session for the day; and Aaron even kind enough to walk Proserpina back to area in which her home was located in the kingdom. This was the beginning something new, a new relationship.
