Giselle Barroso AP Euro 02.29.16. p.5 Grigory Rasputin Grigory Rasputin was a significant historical figure who accomplished great thing during the Russian Revolution. He was born in Pokrovskoye, Siberia in the Russian Empire on January 21, 1869. He was assassinated on December 30, 1916. He died at 47 years old in Petrograd in the Russian Empire. Rasputin married Praskovia Fedorvna Dubrovina in 1889. They proceeded to have seven children: Mikhail, Anna, Grigori, Dimitri, Matryona, Varvara, and Paraskeva. Rasputin is best known for his role as a mystical advisor in the court of Czar Nicolas II of Russia. He was born into a peasant family, and received little schooling. Rasputin attended the Verkhoture Monastery in Russia with the intention of becoming a monk, but quit shortly after. People in the village claimed
