Marks are awarded on an individual basis: your marks reflet your abilities You put the integrity of the university when you cheat, if 1) its late and you’ve forgotten about lab report due in a couple hours. You should hand it in later and get a penalty. You can also read through a friends report and make your own after getting ideas When is working together copying? What is not ok: identical wording, writing joint reports and assignments. Copywrite on images you produce as well. Cannot have a same chart as another Talk together, but go home and then write the report. Plagiarism: presentation of someone else’s work without proper acknowledgement. Things you need to reference; 1) Quotes 2) Ideas paraphrased in your words from another source 3) All stats, charts, etc 4) Anything from media Basically anything from another place than your own brain needs to be referenced
