Midterm is october 14 th (chapter 1 2 and 12) Environmental impacts: 3 ways to categorize 1) The severity of the impact the worse scenario: death. To the organisms or to people? The 2 nd worse is severe illness The best case scenario is an annoyance. It still has an effect but it isn’t as severe as death obviously. 2) The time span in where it happens Acute effect: if the impact happens in a very short period of time. A chronic impact happens over a long period of time. It is much more difficult to evaluate because it happens over a long time. 3) Carcinogenic vs. not Chemicals or processus that cause cancer. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
