Typhoid, cholera, diherrea, dysentery. Could be skin disorders as well. Water born diseases, they can create epidemics. There needs to be control of these pathogens. Organic matter: enters into the water body as pollution. Needs oxygen to break down, taking the oxygen from the water system, things die. If we stop pouting, at a certain level (before the opint of no return) it has the ability to take the oxygen from the atmosphere and restore itself. 2 parameters: BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) and COD (chemical oxygen demand). This is how we find how much pollution in the system. Nutrients: Nitrogen and Phosphorus. They have to be regulated. You can have so much of each, but f theres too much, you create problems. Phosphorus is more critical to montor. Happens more in lakes than in rivers, due to stagnant water. Eutrophication is what happens when you have too much, means

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
