A proctor is an impartial individual appointed to monitor or supervise a student during their examinations. All students taking proctored exams are required to have a proctor.Every student at University of the People must take proctored exams prior to graduation.Students that do not take the proctored exam, for any reason whatsoever, will fail the course and be given the letter grade “F", regardless of the student’s performance in the course so far.It is the student’s sole responsibility to choose a proctor, and proctors must meet several requirements: • be responsible adults, such as a local official, supervisor at work, librarian, or a religious figure,and be at least 21 years old. • be willing to comply with policies and procedures to ensure the integrityof the exam process. • have adequate and reliable access to the Internet, including email services. • be available to be physically present with the student throughout the entire proctored exam.
