Kaitlyn Davis IGE 120 8am Sandra Posey November 21, 2006 Gilgamesh Gilgamesh is in a deep sleep after he returns to the city of Urke, and he awakes from a dream. His dream reveals a new friend. He awakes with glee. He runs around his palace and searches to find someone, yet they are all gone. He cannot find one person. As he is searching he walks outside and sees commotion amongst the people. The entire town is crowded around someone yet he cannot see who it is. As he moves closer he sees a woman, a possible new friend. Her name is Udikne. She tells him that she has been sent for him. She offers to go inside to talk. He decides that it would be best to leave, to be away from any temptation that could ruin this possible relationship. As they talk she explains that she is here to help him out. She lays some rules down about how he should run his city, how to run it in Enkidu’s memory. She talks about how there will be no more wars and no more battles. His main purpose is the well being of his city. She also explains how there will be no more infidelity, and how a law
