Kaitlyn Davis IGE 220 Professor Andy and Professor Henda Tu/Th 8 - 950 November 29, 2007 Dia De Los Muertos This event is an experience I will never forget. It is something that I want my kids to know about and event my grand kids to know about. In high school, I watched a video on “Dia de los Muertos” and I never really got why they did this. This ritual opened my eyes to their perspectives, and taught more on respecting other cultures. My religion is Christianity, and I have always been taught that if it is not part of our system of doings then it is of the devil. In high school I felt that it was almost like devil worshiping because of all the skulls and the whole sense of inviting ghosts to come home. I felt that it was a nuisance to put things like their favorite food out, and pathways to attract them to their own shrine. I felt that as they did this it caused people not to move on with their lives, and they were living in the past to be with loved ones. After going to this event it showed just a little bit of what really happens. There
