Kaitlyn Davis IGE 220 Professor Andy and Professor Henda Tu/Th 8 - 950 November 29, 2007 Dia De Los Muertos This event is an experience I will never forget. It is something that I want my kids to know about and event my grand kids to know about. In high school, I watched a video on “Dia de los Muertos” and I never really got why they did this. This ritual opened my eyes to their perspectives, and taught more on respecting other cultures. My religion is Christianity, and I have always been taught that if it is not part of our system of doings then it is of the devil. In high school I felt that it was almost like devil worshiping because of all the skulls and the whole sense of inviting ghosts to come home. I felt that it was a nuisance to put things like their favorite food out, and pathways to attract them to their own shrine. I felt that as they did this it caused people not to move on with their lives, and they were living in the past to be with loved ones.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
