What global health issues did you value, and how did you plan to address them? (1 paragraph) My philosophy to focus more on preventable health issues that affect a large group of people in the community and are easy to be fixed with available resources rather than spending the resources on risky problems that pose threat to a small percentage of people. This is so because spending the funding on the majority of people would bring a solid outcome to the entire countryand global as a whole. In this case, one of the best ways to utilize the funding is through establishing programs that aim to reorient health care system functionality in the various communities. I believe that the easiest method to control any outbreak of disease is by having well-trained healthcare personnel who can help in many ways to have a stable health care operation at all time. Therefore, it is my goal to have a better training system for the workforce to acquire the needed experience for prevention practice. I planned to concentrate on raising the awareness of food safety in order to reduce the foodborne illness in developing countries througheducating people on personal hygiene and proper cooking habit. Instituting seminars programs incommunities for pregnant women on maternal, infant, and child health care tops on the weekly or monthly basis to ensure an excellent reduction in infant mortality rate is another thing I would do with the funding. In this case, the desired outcome of the patient would be improved. My main target would be the countries that have an unstable health system, especially low-income countries. This will help to eradicate the long queue a patient experience before receiving treatment at health care sectors. A portion of the funding would be allocated to programs that willhelp to train system for the workforce in the healthcare system. Undoubtedly, if the workers are trained and well developed for disease’s prevention, it enhances the health system functionality. Another portion of the money would be used to check food closer before consumption as well as providing cleaner areas in largely populated cities since most of the sickness strike within those vicinities.
