RaviThe African Americans were tired of being mistreated and ignored. They were ready to have their civil rights granted to them. Africans were tired of waitingand decided to take matters into their own hands. Many new strategies and goalswere formed to help African Americans achieve their civil rights. African Americans used nonviolence actions, legal actions, and the showing of mistreatment to help motivate blacks and others to help achieve civil rights. One of the many strategies African Americans used was nonviolence to gain civil rights. Rosa Parks brought this strategy into play when she was about to get on a bus in Alabama. She sat in the front where blacks weren’t allowed and wouldn’t give up her seat. She was arrested but it later drew an effective busboycott. Martin Luther King also practiced nonviolent resistance and was known as the Civil Rights leader. From these famous leaders and acts of nonviolence resistance committees and groups around the nation also used nonviolence to achieve civil rights.
